Irish Whiskey

Whisky production in Ireland started in the 12th century, with The Bushmills distillery founded in 1608 it is said to be the oldest licensed distillery in the world, granted by James I of England in 1608. Irish whiskey is known to be rather smooth, full of fruitiness and often triple-distilled, which gives the whiskey it's smooth character.

Not to forget grain and single malt, with a bunch of distilleries including Connemara, Tyrconnell and the likes of Teeling which are doing a grand job of.
