One of two new whiskies released by Glenglassaugh in 2016. The Classic is the non-peated version, matured in Octave casks - rather small casks (holding around 50 litres of whisky) which allow for a greater interaction between the whisky and wood. Overall resulting in more flavour.
Always popular on the indie circuit, this particular Linkwood was distilled in 1996 then matured in an ex-bourbon hogshead for 21 years. Bottled in January 2018 as part of Càrn Mòr’s Celebration of the Cask, only 108 made the cut.
