Cask style: Aleatico is an Italian grape variety from ancient times, brought to the Crimea in 1830. The grape variety accumulates sugar well and by the end of October the sugar content is 28% to 30%. The wine is normally aged for 2 years, 16.0% abv, sugar 18%.
The oldest tawny port cask finish from Batch 13 of single cask releases by BenRiach. This one was aged from November 1976 to June 2016 with an outturn of just 291 bottles. Amazing stuff.
