The Glenrothes Bourbon Cask Reserve has, unsurprisingly, been matured in nothing but in ex-bourbon casks, making for a popular expression from the Speyside distillery. This is a great little gift pack that not only comes with a bottle, but also a brace of glasses.
It’s been a good long while since Glenrothes distillery made any peated whisky, but they’ve managed to make an interesting peat-inspired release with this whisky. Distilled in 1992, it was finished in casks that used to hold peated Islay whisky.

This is an 11 year old Glenrothes whisky that has spent its life in a sherry butt, and which has been released by indie brand Càrn Mòr, as part of their Celebration of the Cask range. Only 610 bottles are available - and note the hefty ABV.
