Matured in a selection of bourbon casks for no less than 16 years, this is a rather flavoursome single malt from Tomintoul in Speyside. Gentle nutty aromas, followed by more nuttiness with spicy overtones yet smooth and delicate on the palate.
A cracking peated malt produced at Speyside's Tomintoul's distillery, by using heavily peated barley. Different to the previous bottling this now has an age statement, and weighs in at a punchy 50% ABV. This is a great peated malt from Speyside!
Independently bottled Tomintoul from Douglas Laing, aged for 20 years in single refill hogshead #10780. It was distilled in May 1995 and bottled for the Old Particular range in May 2015, producing just 318 bottles.
Master distiller, Robert Fleming has produced a spectacular bottling for the fiftieth anniversary of Tomintoul. He picked out casks from each decade between 1965 and 2005, resulting in an outturn of 5, 230 numbered bottles.
