…Speak Its Name…''Good enough to drink'' states the web site. But if you do not think so, perhaps you will give it a name. We liked it. Great to have this distillery producing again( from 2008) after 22 years in the picturesque Portsoy wilderness.
One of the most popular single malts there is, the Glenfiddich 12-year-old from Speyside. This single malt Scotch whisky is matured in European and American oak casks, resulting in a character full of ripe pears and light spices.
Matured in first-fill sherry hogsheads this is a 2006 vintage Dufftown from Gordon & MacPhails Connoisseurs Choice range. It was bottled in 2016 and offers notes of banana, ripe red apple and overtones of sherry.
In each bottle you will only ever find the produce of one single Season – a practice which continues to distinguish Knockando from almost all other single malts.
Especially delicate, fruity and subtle Speyside:smooth but complex layers of flowery, nutty and slightly smoky notes.
The anCnoc 12 Year Old is renowned the world over. Known as a must have in any whisky drinkers collection, it’s light and yet complex. Smooth yet challenging. And each twist and turn delivers a surprise. In fact, this is a dram that has something for everyone.
Gloriously smooth, gentle spices, a dram with the depth and finish you would normally only expect of a much older whisky. A wonderful 10 year old from the Glenfarclas distillery on Speyside. This makes an excellent aperitif too!
