Distilled on the Isle of Skye at Talisker, this 7 year old single malt was held maturing in a refill hogshead from November 2009 to February 2017. When the whisky was charged from the cask by Hunter Laing for their Old Malt cask range, just 393 bottles were filled.
Bottled for the Old Malt Cask range by Hunter Laing comes this 21-year-old single cask Tobermory. Distilled in the summer of 1994 and bottled over two decades later in 2015, just 645 bottles were charged from the sherry butt.
Hunter Laing’s First Editions range aims to evoke the qualities of a rare literary volume, with character and collectability a focus. This particular volume is a Tobermory that was distilled in 1996, matured for 18 years in a refill butt that yielded 487 bottles at a strength of 54.5% ABV.
