How about a tasty 20-year-old single grain whisky that's spent its entire life maturing in refilled Sherry butts? There's not much sherry-cask grain about these days. This was distilled in1996 at North British distillery, before being bottled by Berry Bros & Rudd at 54.8% ABV.
Douglas Laing have bottled a 27 year old Port Dundas single grain Scotch whisky, which spent it's time in a refill hogshead cask since 1988. It was released as part of their Old Particular range with just 218 bottles filled. A delightful Lowland whisky, full of sweetness and complex fruits.
