The Glenkinchie ‘Distillers Edition’ bottlings are finished in Amontillado Sherry casks, which are known for their nutty flavour. This is the 2017 release, which was distilled back in 2005, and then bottled at 43% ABV.
Triple distilled and matured in American bourbon oak for over eighteen years. The result: a refreshing Lowland single malt whisky with the added infusion of ripe citrus and green tea, the warmth of toasted almonds and the signature smooth, delicate, Auchentoshan taste.
Ah Littlemill, another lost distillery. This was distilled back in 1991, just a few years before its stills fell silent, and was finally bottled in 2012 by Gordon and MacPhail as part of itsConnoisseurs Choice selection.
From the Sadly closed Rosebank distilley which was once operating in the Lowlands, here's a 12 year old bottling initially distilled in 1991. It was aged in a single bourbon barrel until Signatory Vintage decidedto bottle it up in 2004.
