The Devils Cut from Jim Beam posseses quite an oak-y character from an interesting technique used at the distillery. They combine whiskey that has entered the staves of the cask itself, by extraction, with the original 90 Proof bourbon.
Double Oak is a newly introduced expression to the Jim Beam range. First the whiskey is filled into freshly charred American oak barrels before it's transferred over to a new set of the same type of barrels to complete the maturation.
Knob Creek landed in the UK 2-3 years later than it did in America, which was 2012. We shall let it off the hook though as it comes with an awesome flavour profile, rich spices are balanced in the mix with the sweet vanilla notes.
Baker's 7 year old is a great small-batch bourbon made using a particular kind of yeast, which the family of Jim Beam have utilisedover the past fifty plus years. An awesome well-aged bourbon, ideal for after dinner purposes.
