New Arrivals from Chateau De Fieuzal

Chateau de Fieuzal is named after the first family to own it, though it was soon acquired by the Griffon family who used their relationship with Pope Leon XIII to fill the cellars of the Vatican with wine from the de Fieuzal estate.

Lochlann Quinn, who is the chairman of the Allied Irish Banks is the current owner of the estate. His investment in the property included the complete renovation of the wine making facilities with state-of-the-art equipment and a new set of vats for vinification.

The estate of Chateau de Fieuzal incudes 39 hectares of vineyards, averaging 35 years old including some of the Petit Verdot vines which were planted in 1908! The red varietals are planted to 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot, 4.5% Cabernet Franc and 2.5% Petit Verdot, and the white varietals are planted evenly between Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon.
