New Arrivals from Chateau Smith Haut Lafite

Vines have been growing here since 1365 in the domain of the aristocratic Bosq family. Scotsman George Smith bought the property in the 18th century, giving the estate its name, building the manor house and exporting his wine to England. In 1842 Mr. Duffour-Dubergier, winemaker and then Mayor of Bordeaux, inherited the estate and established it as a great growth wine estate. In 1990, Daniel Cathiard became the current owner of the property and continues the legacy of producing excellent wine by combining modern techniques with traditional ones.
