Fine Wine List from Chateau Trotanoy

Trotanoy's vineyards was originally planted in 1761 and in its juvenile years was owned by the Giraud family of landowners who would turn Chateau Tronanoy into a respected wine. Following the Second World War, descendants of the Giraud family would sell the estate, indirectly putting it into the hands of Jean-Pierre Moueix, of later Chateau Petrus fame.

Chateau Trotanoy represents a 7.6 hectare vineyard planted to 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc with the average age of the vines being 25 years old. After vinification, the wine is aged in 50% new, French oak  for 20 months.
