France from Clos De LOratoire Des Papes

It was 1880 when Edouard Amouroux became the owner of a small plot of Syrah vines in the Chateauneuf du Pape appellation. The estate was named 'Clos De Oratoriens' for the small oratory chapel near the plot. In 1999 the owner of Ogier Caves des Papes purchased the estate from the Amouroux family.

Clos de L'Oratoire produces both red and a white wines with 22 hectares devoted to red grapes and 1.5 hectares reserved for white grapes.
