As far as you trace back the Tortochot family, a vine grower in Gevrey is found. In the last century, Paul Tortochot, was a small vine-grower residing on the Chestnuttree place. His son Felix, married Louise Liebaut (also from a family of vine growers) from Morey. Felix and Louise's son Gabriel now owns around 10 hectares, and is an ardent proponent of Burgundy wines, notbaly through his actions as the president of the "Syndicat Viticole de Gevrey-Chambertin" and for his role on the "Comité National de L'INAO". Gabriel has transmitted his passion for terroir of Gevrey-Chambertin to his two daugthers, Brigitte and Chantal, with Chantal ensuring continuity and perenniaty in the management and development of the Domain. A graduate in Oenologie, she belongs to the new generation of wine producers who whish to produce wines with a taste of their "terroir".
