Chateau Fleur Cardinale was acquired by Florence and Dominique Decoster in May 2001, the realisation of a dream project. They immediately set about a course of successful re-investment culminating of classification to Grand Cru Classe in 2006, and now regarded by many wine journos as one of the best estates in the appellation.
The vineyard is located at the heart of the plateau, one of the highest points in the appellation. The fruit is late ripening adding complexity to these modern polished wines. The wines are becoming more sought after but still so far remain under-valued.
