The quality ofBruno Colin's entry level Chardonnay cuvee is striking particularly in this fine vintage. Steely long and sleek, with plenty of tension and caressing fruit on the palate. It's not difficult to see why these wines are becoming very difficult to secure.

Domaine Bourdon's Macon Vergisson is a brilliant value Chardonnay, with more generosity and concentration than the straight Macon. The 2011 shows the natural balance of this lovely vintage, its just easy drinking and very moreish, minerality, freshness fruit on the finish.
