The Parched is one of three in a series that’s all about celebrating Norfolk where the English Whisky Co is based. It’s a single grain whisky that happened to be named by Jim Murray's in his 2018 Whisky Bible as 'European Whisky of the Year’.
This release ofThe English Whisky Co.’s expressions, Chapter 17, has looked for inspiration to Ireland and the Lowlands and produced this unusual triple-distilled whisky. It’s matured in in ex-bourbon barrels.
Tasting notes:- Dried fruits, apricots, apples, slight almond nuttiness, and hints of cinnamon, slightly buttery and light syrup with a palate note: rich fruits, malt loaf, Christmas pudding, a hint of dried banana chips.
