Murray McDavid do like their fancy finishes, and this was impressively finished in a red wine cask from Chateau Haut-Brion. It’s a 14 year old Bowmore that beforehand lived in a bourbon hogshead after being distilled in 2002. Only 340 bottles were released.
A great colour on this 14 year old whisky from Islay favourite Bunnahabhain. Bottled by Murray McDavid, it was initially distilled in 2001 and matured in Sherry butt. Then it was given a feisty finish in a first-fill Port pipe before being bottled in 2017.

Whisky finishers, Murray McDavid, have decanted this ex-bourbon cask Glenrothes into a wine barrique from the Jurançon region in South West France. Well aged at 25 years, 255 bottles were released at 46% ABV.
