Benrinnes distillery has a good following on the whisky underground and you don’t see a huge amount of it on the indie market. This was distilled in 1999, matured in a sherry butt for 19 years before being bottled in December 2017 as part of Douglas Laing Old Particular range.
A 1998 vintage Benrinnes from Gordon & MacPhail's Connoisseurs Choice range, matured in first fill sherry hogsheads! When it was bottled in 2016, the result was a creamy palate with notes of red apple, some banana and a blanket of sherry.
