Another individual Languedoc blend from Les Vignerons. We were surprised how well this combination of grapes works. Red fruits of the Grenache dominate the nose, but it is the silky gamey Pinot which comes through on the palate, great value here.
This old vine Cuvee Michel Leon shows an extra level of dimension over straightforward Gewürztraminer, with more complexity and richness. It is off dry but finishes really fresh and vivid. A great food wine, matching the usual Asian cuisine, and very good chilled as an aperitif too.
