Since 1824, there has been a vineyard on the Beaumont estate. Currently, it covers 113 hectares, making it one of the largest Bordeaux properties, and just over half is planted with Cabernet Sauvignon (53%) with the remainder planted to Merlot (42%) and a dash of Petit Verdot (5%). Typically, the finished wines are blended in similar proportions. The wines are aged in oak with a third being new barrels.
