Made from the trio of grape varieties, Semillion, Sauvignon and Muscadelle, Bordeaux's sweet wines are formidable, in fact the 2001 vintage from Chateau Yquem is potentially one of the greatest living wines. In fact the lesser known dry whites made from the same varieties are also excellent particularly from the Graves region.

2003 presented great growing conditions for Chateau La Tour Blanche, producing what they suggest is the best harvest for 50 years . The wine offers floral notes on the nose with hints of lemon, followed by vanilla, candied fruits and a hint of cinnamon all topped off by a lingering finish.
