Hayman is a family company with history dating back to 1863. The original family company was bought by James Burrough, who is the great grandfather of Chairman Christopher Hayman. James Burrough Limited consisted of a Fine Alcohols Division and a Drinks Division with a portfolio of Gin and Vodkas – most notably Beefeater Gin.

Christopher Hayman inherited his passion of Gin distilling from his Great Grandfather James Burrough who created Beefeater Gin in the 1800s. Christopher controlled the distillation of Beefeater Gin for 20 years until the late 1980s. He is one of the most experienced “Gin Masters” in the trade having been involved in the recipes and distillations of many Gins over the years.

Hayman’s London Dry Gin is the culmination of Christopher Hayman’s 40 years involvement in the distillation of Gin. A premium classic style of London Dry Gin created by Hayman Distillers who are the oldest Gin distilling family in the UK.

Hayman’s London Dry Gin reflects Christopher’s belief that the traditional style of Gin is still the finest example of London Dry Gin which is designed to be used with both the traditional and contemporary Gin drinks.

He believes that it is the careful and consistent balance of juniper, coriander, orange and lemon peel which is vital in crafting a classic style of London Dry Gin.

Hayman’s London Dry Gin starts life when 10 carefully selected botanicals are steeped in grain alcohol for 24 hours. These are then distilled, allowing the flavours of the individual botanicals to develop to their full potential.

The Master Distiller then personally handcrafts the gin during distillation to ensure the middle run is always of the highest quality.

Botanicals:
Juniper Berries from Bulgaria or Macedonia
Coriander seed from Bulgaria
Nutmeg from India
Cinnamon from Madagascar
Orange Peel from Spain
Angelica root from Belgium or France
Orris root from Italy
Cassia bark from China
Liquorice from Sri Lanka
Lemon peel from Spain.

Nose: Hayman’s London Dry Gin has a distinctive, classic gin style with fresh, crisp citrus, vital, bright juniper and intriguing floral accents on the nose.

Palate: This unique, full-flavoured gin is a careful and consistent balance of juniper, coriander, orange and lemon peel elements. Hints of chocolate and pepper, together with the fresh, crisp mix of citrus flavours, and a hint of liquorice, create a highly versatile and elegantly flavoured gin.

Finish: The carefully selected and prepared ingredients deliver a wonderfully balanced, elegant and delicate finish.

Hayman’s London Dry Gin won Gold in the 2009 International Spirits Review in USA and 2010 Spirits Business Gin Masters 2010.
